More Than a Hill is a documentary celebrating six decades of Great Bear’s history, culture, and the people who have made it what it is today. From its humble beginnings as a small ski hill to its evolution as a year-round outdoor recreation destination, the film explores the stories, traditions, and community spirit that have shaped Great Bear along the way.
Featuring stories from the people who experienced it firsthand, the documentary from Sioux Falls native Colter Elkin offers a look back at where Great Bear came from, the moments that defined it, and the vision for what comes next.
