COVID-19 Safety

Effective Feb. 8: The team at Great Bear will continue to enforce the city mandate requiring face coverings in the chalet. If you are not wearing a face covering indoors, our Guest Services, Food Service and Rental Shop team members will be unable to serve you. You may request to be served through the Guest Services window.

Exceptions to the city ordinance include individuals under 5 years old or an individual with a medical condition, mental health condition or disability that makes it unreasonable for them to maintain a face covering (wristbands will be handed out to designate guests with a medical exemption).

Employee Expectations

Face Coverings For Employees

Employees are required to wear face coverings while at work, except when outdoors when 6 feet of social distance can be achieved.

DAILY HEALTH SCREENINGS

Employees will undergo a health screening before every shift. Those experiencing COVID-19 symptoms will be asked to go home or stay home.

 

Guest Expectations

SELF-ASSESSMENTS

Great Bear asks guests who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms to stay home.

MASKS ARE REQUIRED

Guests are required to wear face coverings when inside the chalet per city mandate.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Parties should remain 6 feet away from others at all times.

ENCOURAGE PARTIES THAT ARRIVE TOGETHER TO RIDE TOGETHER

Only parties that come together should ride the lift or tube in group
lanes together.

 

Sanitation

INCREASED DAILY CLEANING

Great Bear is continuing to increase our cleaning and sanitization of high-touch surfaces such as doors, rental equipment and more.

HAND SANITIZATION

Our team has installed additional hand sanitizer stations around the venue to encourage good hygiene among everyone.

REDUCTION OF TOUCH POINTS

Great Bear has reduced the number of touch points for guests for a more contactless experience.

 

Operational Changes

PLAN AHEAD

Guests are encouraged to purchase lift tickets ahead of time or by using the kiosk for your convenience.

CHALET CAPACITY

The amount of seating is reduced to encourage social distancing.

HITTING THE SLOPES

Guests are asked to get ready at their vehicle.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Guests are asked to get ready at and keep their belongings in their vehicle.
