Season in review

Ok, the season is over - wow it seems to go fast! Feel free to comment on the good, the bad and the ugly. A few things:

King of the Hill - good concept however to subjective, won't do it again.

Park Crew - finally got it done! Thank you Matt, Alex, Tanner, Alex and Terril (and Larry said we couldn't do it). Jumps still questionable - I think we can do better

Snow Conditions- in spite of what the dude from USF says, I thought that the hill was in great shape a majority of the time. The Renovator continues to prove its worth.

Season length - No snow from December 23rd to late February and still pulled a 92 day season!

Other comments?

Thanks for the season, have a good summer and see you next fall!!!!

Yea i have a opinion on the jump this last year. When you made it with the knuckle, that was so not cool, I would never get enough speed so I would always land on the knuckle part. No matter how much i tried to get past it I would always land there, after my third attempt My heel on my back foot finally just couldn't take it anymore, I limped around for around a month on it because it was bruised that bad. If you could make the jump where it didnt have the knuckle but still the launch that you'd get, that'd be totally appreciated thanks!

we kept giving ideas the the bully driver and they kept shuttin us down. we really wanted a 15 and a 25 footer in a jump line. but i guess we just pushed em together and made a 40 footer that iced over cuz no one would hit it.

Hey, just wanted to put up a suggestion for this upcoming season. If your budget allows i think that Great Bear should maybe get some sort of sound system set up so you can hear the music no matter where you are at on the hill instead of just at the top of lift, which still in that area isn't very loud. Just a suggestion, i have talked to many other people about this and they said they like my idea so i thought i would put it up as a suggestion.

How about a return of the race program that Great Bear used to have? Minnesota has a stellar race program that has produced the likes of Lindsay Vonn among other members of the US Ski team- while Great Bear used to have solid slalom training, there seems to be no push to even get the program going again. Perhaps next year we can see some races being held or more weekly race nights?

The jumps definitely need work. Maybe next year we could do rollers or tabletops instead of kickers?
