complaining about the icy conditions? I wasnt even complaining, i was just addressing the issue and wondering what their plans were. The only thing i am complaining about is you and how annoying you are.

Fernie in BC is the best of the best!! :) Great Bear is GREAT for what it is!! Considering SouthDakota is not known to be a mountainous state and the weather is always pending. Snow one day and sunshiney the next. For what the Bear has to work with they do a great job!! Not everyone has a ski hill in their very own city!! I'd say all the ppl that go to the Bear and B*tch about how bad it sucks should be thankful they have something. If you dont like it.... go find your own hill somewhere inthe countryside and walk back up everytime you go down. And as for the icy conditions right now??? You think Great Bear really wants that? Do you think they pray and wish for the conditions?? NO!! the management there wants it to be just as nice as you do. Complaining about it, is not going to make it get better. I'd say they team at Great Bear, under the cir!@#stances they have to work with try VERY hard to make it enjoyable for all. Thank You!!!

My favorite is Jackson Hole but it is nice to have a place to ski so close.

Yes I understand that the hill is less than perfect right now, thanks for bringing that to my attention. We have been making snow the last few nights and that snow plus renovating the entire hill should bring conditions back up to the standards that we prefer.....

I would say around here would be Terry peak, out in Colorado i would say Breckenridge. also, the conditions here have caused the hill to be icy, and icy is no good. It makes for hard landings when falling and it isnt as fun so i was wondering if you were going to make more snow so it isnt so icy? Or whats your plan?

Powder Ridge... The Lifts with the bars on the outside you can actually get 4 boarders to a lift and have room to unload when at the top. .. Then after that its just the runs and the snow conditions up there, all the times up there never had a bad day.

Whistler Blackcomb. So many options all the time. It's so vast and pretty and it helps to have sister mountains side by side. Wickedest place ever.

Hey just a thought, but a second web cam should be placed on the terrain park, that way riders that frequent the bear can see how and when the TP is set up and changed. ....maybe mounted on that rarely used building just below the TP. The one u do have is porly positioned aswell...it doesn't show the lift line....which is a make or break on coming out there...

ya..i went to mankato a few times..not the best atmosphere, but its a nice place...recently went to afton alps and it was pretty good. .3 parks and an all around nice atmosphere..Great Bear is good as well, but i think there should be a better atmosphere, as in everybody supports eachother..you know, like a good atmosphere..

T-Line! (timberline lodge) lift tickets are only $42! and their park is sick! not to mention Windell's park is there!

I have two different answers. Around here, powder ridge in MN is really fun to ride. Bring cheap gloves though because their tow rope eats them up. Outside of the midwest, Timberline at mount hood, or Winter park, CO are both really fun. But no matter where you go, just get out and ride!

Alta Utah awesome scenery and the powder.... Garmisch Germany lots of fun and Logan and Lyndsey learned to ski there! Red Lodge Montana lots of fun too and Great Bear for all of the great people who ski and work there!!!
