Well, mother nature has not been kind to outdoor winter sports enthusiasts across the nation and Great Bear in particular but we are putting up a good fight! We intend to continue making snow whenever possible and do a full park reset Wednesday January 18th. Thanks for sticking with us when conditions haven't been up to our usual standards....

Wow..we did It! Thanks for all of your patience as we got the Bear open. To answer some questions:
Hopefuly the east side of the hill be be opened Saturday afternoon. We are continuing to make snow in the Park and will add more features as time and conditions allow. The tubing hill will now start getting some snowmaking attention, it will be awhile though as there are only marginal snowmaking conditions in the near future. The 5th Grade Friday program is off and running...get your 5th graders out to the Bear! SnowSports School is open and the crew is ready to teach you how to enjoy winter. Let's have a great season.....

We've been blowing lots of snow and the opening of the 2011 2012 season is very near, looks like either Friday Dec 9thth or Saturday 10th! We will try to have Kodiak, the Gute Chute and the Bunny Hill open for starters. Yes we will set a couple rails as well! Stop out Thursday night from 4 pm to 8 pm and check things out, get your season pass pictures taken and get ready for the season....
